4 of 5 It was worth a try September 7, 2023
Reviewer: Morrow from Idaho
The products have easy to follow instructions and seem professional grade. I only used the etch remover and cleaner because I didn’t want to seal in the damage. I was unable to remove or diminish the etch damage after several applications and following all steps. I am looking for a professional to fix the vinegar etched spots, towel outline, and bottle rings on my limestone vanity tops. I will use the sealer and cleaner in the future.

5 of 5 Perfect! May 3, 2021
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Cleveland, OH United States
I left a towel soaked with Liquid Gold in our marble sink. It ruined the basin finish. Went to Big box -no help, then to stone countertop store and was given a card for a professional polish company contractor. Sent pictures to Lustro, they got back to me right away with advice. Ordered the complete package, etch paste, sealer, polish, cleaner on faith. The application was tedious but the finished surface was perfect. A couple weeks later we took delivery on a marble top coffee table. It wasn't cheap. I liked the pattern of the table top but there were major linear streaks on the surface that may have come from moisture and the shipping crate. These streaks would NOT clean off. Dont tell anyone but I used the Lustro etch remover with a random orbit polisher. I gently polished the whole coffee table in about 25 minutes. Cleaned, sealed and polished and the surface is now spotless. As you can tell I am a big fan of this product. Thanks!

1 of 5 Disappointed April 20, 2021
Reviewer: Karen Hudson from New London, MN United States
I expected a shiny new look after applying all the products on my travertine stone sink. Actually it doesn't look any different than it did before. For that amount of money, it was quite a disappointment.

LUSTRO ITALIANO REPLY:

Dear Karen,
We are sorry to hear that you were unable to get the results you expected. This kit is designed specifically to correct cases of etched stone. Unfortunately, etching is a destruction of minerals in the stone and cannot be given a "a shiny new look" using additive techniques. It is possible to get the stone to that point, but it requires a professional to come in and restore the surface by repeating the process that originally was used on the stone's surface by using polishing pads to remove the existing surface treatments. This process is possible, but not very practical for most cases.

Our etch repair kit is designed to remove the etch by very gradually blending the areas of the stone that contrast so the etching is much less visible while at the same time improving the area that suffered the damage. Since the product works gradually, some etches might require patience and some "elbow grease" to get the best results possible. Thank you for considering Lustro Italiano.
5 of 5 Great products, Great company December 15, 2016
Reviewer: Don Masters from Auburn, CA United States
Ludtro Italiano marble repair kits are far superior to other company's I have used in the past. Clear instructions on how to use are provided and the company offers further customer support if needed. Recently I had some items damaged in shipment and they immediately replaced them without question or charge. If you are looking for an honest company with great products and customer service then this is the one for you.

5 of 5 Worked well! July 23, 2016
Reviewer: John McPherson from Quincy, IL United States
I had several etch marks in my marble countertop. On a couple, you could even feel the roughness of the marble so it was more than just the look. The etch remover worked well although I had to use it five or six times. The key is to just be patient. Use it, check it and reuse it if needed. The sealer also worked great!

4 of 5 Etch removal January 30, 2015
Reviewer: Ed Weber from Seven valleys, PA United States
I was disappointed it did not take out any scratches even very fine scratches. I used emery cloth at 400 grit got the scratches out and was pleased that the Etch remover polished the marble beautifully. It was a lot of hard work but worth it

5 of 5 Etch Remover Kit really works January 28, 2015
Reviewer: Eugene from Green Bay, WI United States
I had three circular etches in our marble hearth, somebody was bad. Its partially my fault for not maintaining it. I order the kit, and with some elbow grease and 4 applications, the etches were removed. I then resealed the marble after 24 hours and again after another 24 hours used the polish. I will say it looks as good or better than new. Take time to watch the Lustro Videos on Youtube to get a good undersatanding of the process. I do recomend these products. Good luck
